Guide Dogs of America (GDA) provides dogs to those who are visually impaired, veterans with PTSD, children with autism, and facility dogs. To bear witness to a child that has been excluded and withdraws because of autism now fully socializing with confidence due to a dog that welcomes and encourages social interaction is just shy of amazing. This program enables a veteran with PTSD who in many cases gave all for our freedoms, to have a companion that gives them the confidence and reassurance they need to be a part of society again.
